Jamie – Owner & Project Manager

Our owner & lead project manager, Jamie, is a qualified LBP Project Manager. He initially qualified as an Electrician and ran a successful electrical business leading a large maintenance team. In 2008, he led a trade services maintenance/ project management team for both commercial & domestic clients Auckland wide. Jamie’s range of experience, knowledge, great building ideas and big, friendly personality is loved by clients. He prides himself on his relationship with our sub-trades, many of whom have worked alongside Jamie for decades.
Jamie is married with two teenage children. He is an active relaxer and in his spare time, he enjoys mountain biking or tinkering in his shed building quirky props & persuading his kids to help. His current project is designing a go-kart for a popular racing event, and he often donates his time to local community initiatives.
Mike – Project Manager

Mike is an LBP qualified builder and our newest project manager, who has been with Auckland Builders and Renovations since 2022. Mike is not afraid of heights, having worked as an abseiler in his early life! Since qualifying as a builder, Mike spent many years renovating homes and buildings big and small all across the Auckland region, so brings hands on practical knowledge of the building process to the team.
Mike prides himself on quality workmanship and works hard to ensure renovations are as stress free as possible. Feedback from clients about Mike is always outstanding!
Mike is Auckland born and raised and is well connected in his local community. He has a teenage daughter who he tries his best not to embarrass. Mike is a chatty, social character who loves to keep fit and healthy through sport. He is a very active member of the local football club and enjoys the odd celebratory or commiseration pint after a game.
Shane – Lead Builder

We are very lucky to have Shane leading our team of builders. Originally from Whangarei, Shane spent his early career in the military, and later, working in the family business manufacturing trusses for the building industry.
He has decades of experiences as a qualified builder, from commercial high rises to subdivisions with new builds, until finally using his skills with Auckland Builders and Renovations. He has a wealth of knowledge a passion for doing things right and particularly loves to share his skills with the next generation of builders.
Shane is married with two university aged children who are set to build successful careers in engineering and architecture. When he isn’t being encouraged by his wife to do projects around the house, Shane loves to spend time with his dogs and pottering in his garden.
